The Premier Bank Limited(PBL) and Election Commission Bangladesh(ECB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

The Premier Bank Limited (PBL) and Election Commission Bangladesh (ECB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Islamic Foundation Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka on Thursday the 19th January 2017 to verify information and national identity (NID) of the Customers. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid and ECB Director (Operations) Mr. Md. Abdul Baten signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Project Director Brigadier General Sultanuzzaman Md. Saleh Uddin, PBL Head of Operations Shahnawaj Chowdhury and Head of IT Md. Mashuqur Rahman attended the ceremony along with Senior Officials of both the Organizations. Under the MoU, PBL will be able to verify the national identities of all its customers for ensuring transparency and accountability of its banking services.  It will also help in preventing identity frauds and ensure the authenticity of Know Your Customer (KYC) forms.
